About Texas Outdoor Lighting
Texas Outdoor Lighting was founded in 2007 by Joel & Beth Mayor. Using an old blue Saturn sedan as our company vehicle, our company had very humble beginnings working anywhere we could around Central Texas. Fast forward 17 years and we now have 12 employees and a fleet of commercial vehicles and trailers to install and service projects all over the Lone Star State. We have done our best to maintain our integrity, honesty, top notch customer service and best looking lighting designs over the years, no matter if it’s a $7,000 install or a multi-million dollar estate.

Joel Mayor
Owner
Born and raised in the Lake LBJ area, Joel graduated from Llano High School in 2000 before moving to San Antonio to attend UTSA. Soon after 9/11, he left college to join the U.S. Navy and serve our country, as his father and grandfather had done before him. After his enlistment was over, Joel had worked for a landscape company in Richmond, Virginia where he first learned about landscape lighting. Once he moved back to Texas and started a family, Joel started Texas Outdoor Lighting to continue his passion in outdoor lighting and supporting his growing family.

Eddie
Technician
Eddie is originally from South Texas. He has been doing lighting with us for eight years now and is our jack of all trades though he doesn’t enjoy heights so you won’t see him doing any lighting in trees. Eddie is also camera shy so we couldn’t get him to take a picture. He has two children and enjoys spending his weekends hanging out with family and friends.
Roger
Technician
Roger was born and raised in Kyle, TX. On his off time, he enjoys hanging out with his friends playing basketball and working on car audio systems. A little known fact about Roger is that he enjoys cooking for his family and friends. He is a great addition to our lighting team and you may see him climbing trees to install lights.

Beth Mayor
Owner
Beth was born in Tyler, Texas but was raised in the Houston area. She moved to Austin in 2001 to attend the University of Texas at Austin and she is a Longhorn through and through. Beth met Joel after his honorable discharge from the Navy and they soon had a marriage, a house, three kids and this business together. She enjoys reading, going to the movies, fishing, traveling near and far, and having Nerf gun battles with her family in her downtime.
Deeann
Office Manager
DeeAnn is originally from Canada. She moved to Texas in 2008 with her husband. In DeeAnn’s spare time you can find her at the ball field watching one of her two boys playing baseball. DeeAnn loves to read, spend time traveling and having quality home time with her family.
Jessica
Business Manager
Jessica was born and raised in Southern California and attended California Baptist University and received her Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration. Her and her husband moved to Austin in 2015 with their three kids and love it in Texas. She enjoys weekends at the ball fields watching her kids play, traveling, and spending time with family and friends.
